The Ministry of Social Services invests in positive outcomes for people in areas of income support, child and family services, supports for persons with disabilities and affordable housing. We work with citizens as they build better lives for themselves through economic independence, strong families and strong community organizations.

The Ministry Plan for 2012-13, released with the Budget on March 21, 2012, demonstrates how the Ministry aligns with government's vision and goals and presents a high level framework for the Ministry's activities in the upcoming year. The plan contains strategies and actions that will be pursued in the upcoming year, measures to gauge the ministry's progress, and a financial summary.

The Annual Report presents the Ministry's activities and results for the fiscal year ending March 31st. The Ministry's annual report, as required by legislation, is tabled by the Minister responsible within 120 days of the close of the fiscal year.

There has always been an effort to deliver services to our clients at the local level. This includes not only offices in cities and towns, but regular visits to smaller centres and calls to clients' homes.

This includes a list for the following areas in the Ministry of Social Services: Housing, Income Assistance Service Delivery, Community Living Service Delivery, Media Inquiries, Office of Disability Issues and Status of Women Office.
